Masking Policy Update

Masking Policy Update (effective August 23, 2022)

As of August 23, 2022 Harmony Garden is updating our masking policy based on the newest CDC recommendations and guidelines. We will no longer be requiring masking for our early childhood groups and music therapy sessions; families will always be welcome to mask at their own discretion, however will not be required anymore. Dependent on Jackson County COVID Community Spread levels, Harmony Garden staff will continue to mask only if Jackson County is at a HIGH spread alert.

The CDC is recommending a masking model based on COVID community levels: low, medium, and high (reference here: (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html?fbclid=IwAR3Jmew03PUPwKdiqy_Q5dBS_Gnk01y6Zdq4BFUXqrgBeirNGzw_d1ZmVPE))  When our county is in the low or medium community level, no masks will be required. Whenever our county goes into the high level, masks will be worn by all staff, however it will not be required of families and will be a personal choice whether families decide to mask. A sign on our front door will indicate current community levels and our staff will be diligent in continuing to check the CDC website for COVID numbers.

This masking policy applies to clients, families, caregivers, aides, and our own staff. Masking will be personal preference for our Harmony Garden staff when COVID levels are low or medium. If an individual client is more comfortable with their therapist continuing to mask, all requests to mask will be honored immediately.

We continue to ask our families to please stay home should they have any exposures, symptoms, or illnesses. If you have COVID, we still require a 10 day quarantine from the first day of testing.
